Walker.T New Release Hit The Europe Reggae Charts

For Immediate Release The Walkerton Music Group, Inc. / San Music is celebrating the release of Walker.T "Nah Study Dem" which saw two singles "Nah Study Dem" and "Rise Di Machine" feat Caliber debut on the Finland iTunes Reggae Charts at # 36 and 37. "Nah Study Dem" was digitally released on April 9th, 2010 and hit the charts on April 12th. The charts features the top 100 Reggae singles in Finland by which both singles are being well received. The project continues to do extremely well with less than two weeks of being released. The project also hit the top 100 Reggae release in the U.S last week. The Unknown Riddim is the name of the latest project from the Walkerton Music Group Inc. The riddim will be released through Sound Quake Germany in May 2009. The release features Walker.T "Girl I Wanna" with bonus tracks from Walker.T "Give it to her" and Trilogee "Welding Shop". San Music is a new record production entity that has be recently added to the Walkerton Music Group label. This is the first official release from San Music who is expecting the project to do well overall. The anticipation of the release is one of high expectation becuase of the amount of time that was dedicated towards the project. Walker.T "I Cry" feat. on DJ. L.Slinga Culture Drop Vol. 8

DJ L.Slinga is known for his reggae mixtapes “The Culture Drop Works”. This year’s Vol. 8 features Walker.T single “I Cry”. The track is number 4 on the CD and has received favorable reviews since the release of the project. Due to the quality of the music Walker.T has been putting out recently, various other producers have also reached out to the deejay to record on some of their upcoming projects. Walker.T recently recorded the song “Give Thanks” for Flava No doubt Records out of Kingston Jamaica. The single “Give Thanks” which is currently being mixed and mastered is said to be one of his more closely related to the artiste because of the significance of the message in the song. “This song means a lot to me and it would mean a lot if it is given the exposure that it deserves”. It is a known fact that even though a song is recorded for a label that doesn’t mean that it will be released. For this reason The Walkerton Music Group is currently working with other labels to ensure that songs recorded by the deejay will be released. The Single “I Cry” was never officially released although it received favorable airplays on radio stations, night clubs and sound systems alike. “Fans have started to hear the song more and more and wondering why they are not hearing more of my music being played. This is why I created the label so that I can market and promote my own products instead of waiting on someone else to do that for me”, said a somewhat frustrated Walker.T. Walker.T Releases new single "Give it to Her"

Reggae, Dancehall Artist Walker.T has been busy carving his name in the Reggae music fraternity. Since launching his marketing campaign for the single “I Cry”, Walker.T has made several bold but interesting moves to enhance his musical career. He first launched a music label “Walkerton Music Group Inc.” which is associated with several other small music entities. The label was created as a means of
helping to shine some light on the talent that has been so often overlooked by many who seems only to be after the hype of the moment. Walker.T appears to the average viewer as being a laid back, humble and relaxed individual, who has been criticized as being too laid back as a Jamaican artiste. When asked about the assumptions, the deejay had this to say “Why should I be hype and chase after vanity? I am in this to contribute towards the betterment of reggae music and not to defile the works that our Icons and predecessors have put forth. Because I am not hype or behave uncivilized, others feel like overlooking or bypassing what I have to say. Make no mistake about it; I am not here to care about what others say or think but rather to make my contributions toward the spreading of our culture and heritage while using music to make an impact in the lives of others. Let them have their spotlights and awards, if I write a song that make a change in one person’s life then I consider that mission accomplished until the next project, besides the rewards will soon surface as long as I continue to work hard”.
The deejay has penned a new single “Give it to her”, recorded on a new riddim from a new upcoming New York producer “Sanchez Music”. Stevie G: Where are you based?
Walker T: I am currently based in Virginia U.S. I am usually travelling between Jamaica, New York, Virginia, and California. I am usually no in one place for too long because where the music leads me I will follow with the most high’s guidance.
Stevie G: How & when did you start making music?
Walker T: I started making music since I was very young. I would say about age 8. I didn’t really take it seriously until I saw how much poor people were struggling just to survive in this world. That was about 15 years ago when I realized the affliction of the poor and it was revealed to me that this was my calling and that I was supposed to use that calling as a means of bringing awareness to that and similar situation of the poorer class in society.
Stevie G: What/who inspired you in your musical career?
Walker T: My musical career was inspired by several reggae icons such as, Gregory Isaacs, Bob Marley; Dennis Brown as far as the roots portion of the music goes. For the Dancehall section, I really like the way that Beenie Man was able to keep up with the longevity in this very tough music business. I give respect to many other artists and there are many others that I listen to but these were the ones who made an impact on my musical journey.
Stevie G: What are your long-term and short-term plans?
Walker T: My short term plans are to make music that will impact the lives of others. I really want to make music that can aide in the betterment of people’s mindset when they are listening so that they can take a break from their daily routine and be apart of the movement if even for a few minutes. Music is really a passionate entity that can reach emotional levels that are not seen on a normal day to day basis. My long term plans would be to use my gift of music to make a difference in society. I am often referred to as “The Poor People’s Spokesman” that is because I speak to issues that are closely related to the everyday struggles of society. I would really like to be a spokesperson for some of the issues facing the poor, including crime, poverty, education, employment, unity and several others. I realized that you can’t please everyone musically but I always do my best to speak to issues that are relevant and ones that pertains to people’s everyday lifestyle. Of course I have to make music that entertains because after all it is entertainment in its many forms.Stevie G: How can we hear your music (myspace/facebook) etc?

Stevie G: Have you any releases in the coming months (singles/albums)?
Walker T: Yes, in the next few weeks/months, I will be releasing a number of singles. The first of which will be a dancehall track called “Give it to her”. This particular track was done to show the more entertaining and fun side of Walker.T It basically talks about my interactions with the ladies and the experiences that we share. The riddim was created by a brand new young producer out of New York “Sanchez Productions”.The second single is entitled “Give thanks” and it was recorded on the No Doubt Records new riddim “Rock Steady”. This song is really special to me and it speaks to the people to give thanks and not to let the struggles get them down no matter what. It also shines some light on some of the crime taking place in the streets. The promotion of the song however is not yet set in stone as we are currently working with the producers to have the song mastered and have all arrangements set. I am still marketing the single “I Cry” which has been receiving favourable airplays in Jamaica and Europe. The single was not released due to monetary issues. I am still seeking a distributor for that single because the people need to hear it. It speaks to the real core of the problems in the streets, crime, violence, and abuse of power.I have recently created my own music label “Walkerton Music Group Inc.” which most of my new music will be released under.

Reggae Artist Walker.T Creates Record Label

Reggae artist Walker.T has joined the ranks of many reggae leaders by creating and launching his very own music label. The Walkerton Music Group Inc. was created for the independent music entities. Walkerton Music Group Inc. Consist of: SUPA RECORDS: Fort Lauderdale Florida. TEMPO PRODUCTIONS: San Diego California. J.P. PRODUCTIONS: Hollywood California. CRENSHAW ENTERTAINMENT: Hollywood California/Aggtown Texas. STAR INTERNATIONAL SOUND INC: Brooklyn New York. Walker.T and his affiliates have all been in the reggae music fraternity for many years and have each contributed their fair share of hard work by either producing, promoting or being an artist themselves. The launch of the music group was to generate enough resources necessary to be able to produce records,spread the message of reggae music and also as a means of evading the vastly growing but somewhat currupted atmoshpere of doing business without any strong representation or rights, or license for the music. The first major project of the Walkerton Music Group was to promote the latest Walker.T single “I Cry”, as song penned by Walker.T in 2007 addressing the struggles facing the poorer communities and the youths in the streets. The single did well in Jamaica, UK, France, Italy but it was not officially released. Now the lable is focusing on completing Walker.T album “Strangest Things” set to be release late 2008-early 2009 depending on distributing partnerships that are still being worked out.

Walker.T Biography
Born Marvin Christopher Walker in Kingston, Jamaica, Walker.T attended Maxfield Park Primary and Norman Manley High Schools. His gift of melody was realized at an early age. He would frequent local recording studios consistently approaching recording producers and challenging any act brave enough for a serious face off. With an intent approach to stamp his true authority in the music fraternity, Walker.T worked assiduously, stirring a tremendous amount of interest and attention. He began focusing his attention mainly on lyrics relating to the everyday ghetto struggles, both in Jamaica and abroad. In April of 1993 he had to migrate to the USA but continued in his effort to make his presence felt, traveling across the country (USA) doing various shows, etching his name in the minds of the people and strengthening his fan base. While in the U.S. he continued making positive strides in the music industry and seriously furthered his education: At age sixteen (16), he attended the International Theological Seminary of California where he obtained a Bachelor in Theology in 1996; he also attended the University at Buffalo along with various other colleges. He received an Associate in Arts from Columbia College as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Finance. After a successful college education, Walker.T joined the United States Marine Corps in May 1998 where he served as an infantryman to include a tour in Iraq, which includes the initial invasion in 2003. He served with the 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines in Camp Pendleton, California where he was assigned to Weapons Company, the mortar platoon (81’s). Walker.T served eight (8) years in the Marines after which he was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 2006. Such was the magnetism and the love Walker.T had for Reggae music, he immediately seized the opportunity of re-igniting his musical flame, filled with energy, creativity and versatility and with great expectation of making his presence felt. Intent on proving himself a force to be reckoned with, in September 2005 Walker.T recorded “Dance” a maxi single on the Tempo production label, he also recorded the album “The Beginning” for J.P Productions in that same year. Walker.T also recorded two tracks for the U.S. Pop group Strykers Club on their latest album “Unleashed”, these singles were well received across the U.S. and Europe. Walker.T became apart of the Rap Label “Crenshaw Entertainment” and was a big part of their roster. He released his single “Let me see what you’re working with” and shot the music video in Long beach California 2005. His hot new single “I Cry” produced by Unseen Lab, is presently experiencing favorable airplay on radio stations, sound systems and in the nightclubs. Walker.T continues to grow and improve as a singer and songwriter who is appealing to a whole new breed of music lovers around the world by helping to take Reggae to the next level.
